Epson SureColor R5070

Epson SureColor R5070 is Epson’s first resin signage printer, along with the Epson SureColor R5070L. This “R-Series” printer boasts incredible quality, cost, and speeds. Furthermore, it is eco friendly: being RoHS compliant.

The two Epson R-Series printers will be available in January of 2021.

Amazing Image Quality

The Epson SureColor R5070 uses 6-colors of resin ink as well as optimizer. Furthermore, it offers an all new Quality Print Mode.

The Quality Print Mode ensures that the optimizer and printer ink are delivered separately and accurately.

As a result, this makes the signage printer capable of printing extremely vibrant colors while maintaining consistency across its prints.

Reliable Color Consistency

With quality ink and software, you can get high quality prints. However, Epson’s R5070 doesn’t stop there.

The UltraChrome® RS Resin ink used in these SureColor printers are touted as “instant-dry” and “scratch-resistant.” Gone are the days of smears and wasted prints.

This also makes the R5070 capable of printing on a variety of substrates with incredible consistency.

Furthermore, new PrecisionCore Micro TFP print head technology enables consistency even across multiple panel projects.

Immediate Lamination

Epson’s UltraChrome RS Resin Ink was specifically designed to compete with Latex products. For example, the HP Latex 315, HP Latex 335, and HP Latex 365.

Compared with Latex, RS Resin Ink meets the same criteria for ecology. It is made with a water-based formula to meet OH&S certifications.

It goes beyond Latex products as it offers more scratch resistance and lower-temperature curing. This means printing with the SureColor R5070 or R5070L will translate to less costs of damaged prints.

With the Epson SureColor print heads, it enables superior consistency and color gamut.

Low Ink Costs

Another advantage of using the Epson SureColor R5070 is that ink costs are only $0.155 per milliliter (mL). The R5070L comes even lower at $0.125 per milliliter (mL).

Printing is made more efficient with 1.5L bulk ink packs on the R5070 and 3L of ink on the R5070L.

User-Replaceable Printheads

If printheads are not replaceable, you may lose precious time and money finding professionals to repair your printers. Otherwise, your print quality will suffer regardless of the quality of ink.

With replaceable printheads, you can address printer problems yourself instead of waiting for a technician.

Epson SureColor R5070 comes with a manual that will walk you through any issues that may come up with the printheads.
